Middle East among the Pioneers of Electric Car Adoption
Accorind to the Bank of Americ Merrill Lynch’s Thematic Investring reports the Electric vehiels share of global car sale is forecasted to rise from 1 percnet in 2017 to 2.5 percent by 2020. It is predicted that they will constitue 90 percent of sales by 2050.
The UAE governemtn plans 15 percent reduction in carbon emissions by 2050- and a 20 percent adoption of Eelectriv vehicles within its own fleet.
Dubai will spend millions of dirhams on incentives to have 42000 elelctric vehiel on its streets by 2030.
Almost all the car makers see huge potential in the region, with UAE on the lead, and plan new electric vehciles in the coming years.
