The New Mazda Miata Will Be More Powerful and Fuel Efficient

The 2019 Mazda Miata will get a significant power boost over the 2018 model. The Japanese automaker will increase the car’s horsepower from 151 to 181, and the torque will get boosted as well going from 148 to 151 lb-ft. But, all of this is not coming at the cost of fuel economy.

The fuel economy figures of 2019 Mazda Miata will actually improve as compared to 2018 model year: It is shown by the fuel economy figures published by the EPA.  The automatic transmission will now get 26/35/30 mpg city/highway/combined. Fortunately, 2019 manual Miata also improves as compared to the 2018 car. The fuel economy now sits at 26/34/29 mpg city/highway/combined.
