RTA Introduces Second Hand Car Certificate

In a bid to improve the regulation of the country’s second-hand car market, Dubai Road and Transport Authority (RTA) has introduced a car condition certificate.

The certificate will be helpful to prevent fraud or deceit by providing “important and historical” information about the car.

Information available through this service will include the type and validity of insurance, its owner, distance covered in kilometers, any instances of impounding, the type of vehicle and its condition during annual testing.

However, availability of this service is subject to the owner’s consent.
