The Mazda MX-5 Miata RF made its debut earlier this year at the 2016 New York Auto Show and that specific show car has gone on to create the MX 5 RF Launch Edition. The color combination will be exclusive to the model, featuring a Machine Gray Metallic exterior paint and Auburn Nappa leather interior, further accented by a hand painted black roof panel. The Launch Edition will be based on the Grand Touring trim level. It will also be one of the most exclusive Miata models to date, limited to just 1,000 units in the US

Preorders will initially open up to a select group of customers who will be notified via email and will have a specific window of opportunity to preorder the car.
