Testing the ability of electric cars

Nissan and auto makers started viewing electric cars not just for transportation but also as mobile energy-storage units that can provide emergency power and take stress off electric grids.

Nissan will begin testing its Leaf-To-Home energy station in japan. It is for testing the ability of electric cars to provide temporary electrical power to buildings in real-world circumstances.
