Chinese EV maker Nio is ramping up shipments of its compact Firefly model to countries with right-hand-drive configurations — including Singapore, Britain, and Thailand — where it can avoid certain import tariffs.  
By tailoring its expansion to these favorable markets, Nio aims to grow its export volume while reducing price pressure caused by tariffs in other regions. CEO Daniel Jin said this strategy helps Firefly avoid a price war and reach customers more profitably.
