Mazda confirmed it will end sales of all diesel-powered vehicles in its domestic market by the end of 2026, shifting its focus to hybrid and battery-electric models. The company cited tightening emissions regulations and lower consumer demand as key reasons. However, Mazda will continue to offer diesel engines in select overseas markets like Europe and Australia where demand remains steady.
