Genesis Electrified G80 Becomes the Brand's First Electric Vehicle

Genesis recently launched its first electric vehicle called the Electrified G80. As the name suggests, it is based on the G80 brand sedan and is fully electric. This sedan recently made its debut at the Shanghai Auto Show and is expected to arrive in the United States soon. The zero-emission powertrain will join the G80 and bring another dimension to the luxury sedan. The motorized G80 carries a mileage of 265 miles based on Korean tests, the G80 will be able to support the load on a 400 to 800-volt infrastructure. Sedan drive motors and inverters can boost voltage from 400 volts to 800 volts without the need for additional inverters. Plug the G80 Electric into a fast-charging station and the sedan can recover 80% of its power in about 22 minutes. Another charging feature is the Electrified G80's ability to power external devices up to 3.6 kilowatts.
