Foxconn, an Apple iPhone Assembler, Wants to Supply Components for 10% of the World's Electric Cars

Foxconn announced Friday that its goal is to provide components or services to about 10% of the world's electric cars (EVs) between 2025 and 2027. Foxconn President Liu Young-way said his company is in talks with various car manufacturers for future cooperation. The Taiwanese contract maker Foxconn is possibly best known as the company that bundles several flash technology products for the computer giant, including the iPhone and iPad. Apple sold more than 217 million iPhones in 2018 alone, and Foxconn has bundled them all since its introduction in 2007.
