Toyota Pakistan Closes Production Plant

One of the main Japanese automakers in Pakistan, Toyota, has closed its manufacturing plant for an indefinite period, as stated in a public notice issued by the company. The advisory indicates that current conditions due to coronavirus around the world have caused delays in our delivery and production times while affecting our national and international supply chains. According to the government and the notice issued, the production plant of Indus Motor Company will remain closed under the directive. We ask for your patience during these test periods and we assure you of our tireless efforts to guarantee delivery and service of the vehicle. Please note here that the plant will remain closed until further notice, but the IMC production plant has been closed since March 23, 2020. The plant was scheduled to resume operations in April, but the government has given no signal green so the local automaker will also start production in April.
