Dubai Police's new pedestrian smart system could land you a Dhs 500 fine

Dubai police have just announced a new system in the emirate to monitor the safety of road users in Dubai. The new intelligent system that will be installed on pedestrian crossings will detect when vehicles do not give way to pedestrians. Brigadier Saif Muhair Al Mazrouei, director of the general traffic department at the Dubai Police, said the new smart device would help traffic authorities keep pedestrians crossing designated areas safe by braking motorists who don't give priority to pedestrians.
