Federal Cabinet Approves Pakistan’s First EV Policy

Federal Cabinet has approved the first-ever national Electric Vehicles (EV) policy in a bid to address the effects of climate change and bring down the country’s fuel import bill.

The policy was approved in a meeting chaired by the Prime minister Imran Khan, who has a special interest in environment-friendly and sustainable development and had personally ordered to formulate the electric vehicle policy earlier this year.

Providing affordable transportation to people is also one of the key objectives of this policy.
