Government to Bring Online Car Dealers Under the Tax Net

In a bid to increase revenue, The Punjab government has decided to bring online car dealers and sellers into the tax net. The decision was made in a meeting conducted by Punjab excise, trade, finance and taxation ministers, which were attended by the Lahore Car Dealers Association.

The government has taken this decision on the suggestion of Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA). The General Sales Tax (GST) will be imposed only on the commission earned by car dealers. The government of Punjab also agreed to take grievances of car dealers to the Federal Government.
