Punjab to get Modern Vehicle Inspection and Certification Centres (VICS)

In an attempt to allow only the fittest vehicles on the road, the government of Punjab has directed all the vehicles to pass the vehicle’s inspection test by the end of March 2019.

A Swedish company Opus is setting up a modern vehicle inspection and certification facility (VICS) that will give clearance only to those vehicles which are fit to commute on the roads. It will allow the Punjab government to get rid of its old transport inspection system. The company will incept its operations soon.
