Didi Teams up with Careem to Turn up Heat on Uber

World’s largest mobile transportation platform Didi is spreading its wings again after it announced a financing deal with Careem. Careem, an Uber rival in Middle East, is valued at more than 1$ billion.

Careem and Didi declined to comment on the size of Chinese company’s investment in Careem.

Didi is seeking to turn up the heat on Uber in different regions of the world.

According to research firm SimilarWeb, Careem is ahead of Uber in Pakistan and a strong second player in other regional markets.
