The brakes are an important component of your vehicle. Sometime you may face problems related to the brakes. However, here are some warning signs which indicate there are problems with the brakes of your car.
Brake Light On
The lights on your dashboard can indicate much about the condition of your car and its parts. In the same way, brake lights point to problems with the brakes of your car. So, if any of the brake lights on the dashboard start indication it may mean your car is due for an inspection. It could also be your car’s electronic system alerting you about something.
The light may also turn due to an engaged parking brake. Make sure it is fully released.
Leaking Fluid
If you are experiencing soft brake pedal, it may be the result of wear of the brake pads or problems with hydraulic systems. It could be due to the leaking of brake fluid or air entering the oil reserve. To check for liquid leak, place an old piece of cloth or a piece of cardboard at the bottom of the car overnight. You will see it if there is leaking. Consult your mechanic about this problem.
Brake Pads Worn
Most modern cars come with disc brakes. This system works by a hydraulic system filled with brake fluid will act on calipers, which helps them squeeze together on a disk called a rotor. It results in friction between the pads and the rotor that causes the vehicle to stop.
Over time, these pads will be worn out due to friction. It will result in brake problems. So, the car brakes will work poorly and the car will stop slowly, and the brake will not perform optimally.
Car is deflected while braking
Car brake problems may result in burning smell from your car. A distinctively sharply odor after repeated hard braking on steep roads is a sign of overheated brakes or clutch. Stop your car immediately, check your parking brake to make sure it is fully released and allow the brakes to cool. The result can be dangerous if you fail to do so.
