Honda Has Restarted Its Second Plant In Rajhistan, India

For meeting the high demands of Honda sedan cars in India, Honda Motor Co. is now planning to open the second car plant in India. Actually, this will be the renewal of a suspended plan in 2008. The new plant will be having a production capacity of 50,000 vehicles.

Currently the giant automaker Honda has only one plant in India located in Utter Pradesh having the production capacity of 120,000 vehicles. Already Honda is making a used of the second car plant by producing the car components and the plant is located in Rajhistan, India. When the assembly line of Honda’s second car plant will be completed, the production capacity will reach 200,000 vehicles per year.  
For the additional capacity Honda is planning to export these vehicles to the different parts of world including Middle East and Africa.

The car market of India topped with 3.42 million vehicles in the fiscal ended in March last year and while along with sluggish economy, the Indian Car Market has become softened by rising of fuel costs and interest rates. Honda has managed to maintain competitiveness and also sustained sales owing to its strong brand recognition.
