5 Signs that Show a Buyer Likes Your Used Car

If are planning to sell your used car, it is important to be wary of non-serious buyers who may just waste your time. However, it is possible to filter out the serious buyers from the non-serious. Here are five signs that may help you in this process.

  • Is The Buyer Informed?

The importance of homework when buying a used car cannot be ruled out. Homework can determine if your buyer likes your car. The buyer can be said as interested if he has performed homework and knows about the car more than just make and model. Specifications may include specific trim, the features, engine size etc.

  • Does The Buyer Ask Questions?

The buyers asking questions about the car shows that he or she is inquisitive about the car and wants to know more about it. You can also judge their interest from the type of questions he or she asks.

  • Car Inspection

Car inspection is important before purchasing one. It shows the quality of a car. If a buyer is interested in your car, he or she would have no qualms opening the hood and driving to inspect the engine. If the buyers do not have any experience, they will at least ask if they can get the car inspected. The permission for chassis validation for history with the agency is another sign that shows the interest of a buyer.

  • Request for a Test Drive

Testing driving is another key way to judge the quality of a vehicle. Many buyers prefer a test drive prior to purchasing the car. It is a good sign of customer’s interest if he or she asks to take a test drive. It means that they want to give the car a final shot and reach a decision.

  • Negotiation

It is not uncommon that buyers try to negotiate the price before making a final deal. A buyer who tries to bring down the price or at least asks the infamous “last price “question, shows that he or she is interested. However, it is necessary to be wary of the buyers who start negotiating on the phones as they will reiterate the process after seeing the used car. So, it is best if you the car first to buyers and then start negotiating the terms with them and settle for the best offer.
